JILLIAN DITOMASSI [Kristine]
At 6 years of age, Jillian began her dance training in Edmonton, Alberta, at Shelley Tookey's School of Dance. Her first solo was a song and tap dance to, "Zippety-Do_Da" in a pink frilly dress! Her training began with Brian Foley's Tap Syllabus, as well as jazz and Royal Academy of Dance ballet.
'After taking a break to lace up figure skates, Jillian went back to her first love and returned to the dance world in Victoria, British Columbia. She continued her extensive dance training at the Sinclair Academy of Performing Arts, under her much admired teacher, Anabelle Martin. She completed numerous exams including elementary ballet, and intermediate modern and tap. As well as teaching the younger students, Jillian also joined the Flamenco Company, Alma d'Espana.
Jillian's dance training has also allowed her to travel around the globe, fulfilling her passion to learn about new cultures. After spending some time in Japan, she returned to Vancouver to dance for the BC Lions Football team, and was then off again, to cruise the Mediterranean on a contract with Signature Holidays, where she had the privilege of working with the talented choreographer, Allan Harding.
Jillian arrived in Toronto in February 2001, and has since begun to dabble into the world of choreography. With her passion to dance and for the stage, Jillian's goal is to form her own dance company that is strictly "Canadian Made", to showcase the many talented Canadian performers and choreographers this country has to offer.
She is very excited to be playing the role of Kristine and is looking forward to performing with her talented fellow cast members.
